Shooting Conditions & Props

Shooting in the Museum and taking shots of the articles found with the Iceman are only permitted if indirect lighting is used. Shooting must always take place under supervision and outside of Museum opening hours.
On the other hand, for conservational reasons shooting authorization inside the Iceman’s cell can only be granted in exceptional cases. This exceptional authorization is reserved for high-quality documentary film productions and includes a charge for hygiene measures and the salaries of our conservation staff.

In special cases props for films on the Iceman, such as clothing, bows and arrows, etc., can be obtained on loan from the Archeoparc or rented from the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology.
